The newest arrangement added to the new Music With Simone Shop is one that I completed today, of a piece I’ve been eager to play at our monthly Theatre Organ Society concerts.
I have a number of versions of Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer” in my own library, but I’ve found them frustrating to play with all the page turning required with the repeats! So I’ve written my own arrangement of The Entertainer, primarily to minimise page turns. I’ve also re-listened to the piano recording repeatedly to pick out what elements I think are worth including to give it more of the ragtime accompaniment.
