It’s been 2 weeks since I last published an arrangement! As much as I’ve wanted to work on some more arrangements, I’ve had other more pressing things to focus on. However, thumbing through a book I’d not opened in a few years to start choosing pieces to practice up for the next Theatre Organ Society WA monthly concert, I found I’d started scribbling some arrangement ideas on some of the pieces.
I’ve now typed one out (John Denver’s “Annie’s Song”), changed up some of the chord and accompaniment choices, added phrasing and lyrics, and gone through 4 iterations of playing and tweaking to arrive at a single page organ arrangement that I’m happy with.
